My shitty morning

Even a messy shitty morning has its place.

One morning, my usual 40-minute trip to school turned into a three-hour test of patience. First, the bus didn’t come. The next one was so full that people were practically pressed together like puzzle pieces. The third was no better, but I had no choice soI climbed in anyway. It took 40 minutes to travel what normally takes ten. Then we stopped completely. People started complaining, even trying to force the doors open.

At first, I stayed calm. Listening to music and pretending it didn’t bother me. But when I realized how late I was going to be, the anxiety hit hard. The bus driver eventually told us to get off in the middle of nowhere. I had to walk to the next station, only to find more delays. I ended up taking a train that didn’t even go directly to my school, then caught another late, overcrowded bus.

By the time I arrived, 1 hour and 45 minutes late, I was furious. I could’ve finished my makeup, taken my time, and still arrived just as late. But somewhere in that long, messy morning, I realized something simple: some things you just can’t control. Traffic happens. Time slips away. Getting upset doesn’t change it. Sometimes you just have to accept it as it is, even a messy shitty morning has its place.
