If happiness were an object, I think it’d take the form of glass.
If you think about it, happiness is everywhere, really. You can see it in the faint smile that people can’t seem to help whenever the sun decides to peek out, or in the sigh of relief when one’s hunger finally gets put to rest. Even if the reason for your frown is the rain that’s been lingering for weeks, I think you can find happiness in the thought that the same rain could be nourishing the fields somebody hoped would not dry out. It’s easy to take things for granted, but I think we’d smile a lot more if we tried not to. Happiness is scarily contagious.
Optimism gets far too often mistaken for delusion. Sometimes, it merely means you have to squint a little to be able to see the small bits of rainbow in your world. Live, smile, and love to the fullest, every day, and maybe you’ll be the happiness somebody else has been looking for.
